She hadn’t been lying. Not really. She had been in moods, not all of the normal.
Then again, her moods had hardly been ‘normal’ for a very long time now. She had her ups and downs… well. More like, more or less murderous intentions. But of late, alls he feels like doing of recent late is either…
GLaDOS frowned and lightly touched her arm “Chell… What is going on with you? You’ve been acting so strange lately…”
Chell sighed, shaking her head, “I don’t know. But you know ever since I… came back… I’ve had these mood swings. I think they’re just… worse than usual.”
She laughed slightly, “Well, you know, if you have cores go missing, you know why. I swear it’s all fixable… I think.”GLaDOS nods and kisses her cheek (I have a solution. They were both drunk when they did the ‘experiments’ >:D and they forgot about it ;w; )
Chell sighed, leaning into GLaDOS, hands resting lightly against her hips as she murmured wordlessly into her neck, eyes slipping shut.
“Well, things happen,” she eventually muttered, “I’m sure it’ll pass… it always does… right?”GLaDOS smiled slightly “I’m sure it will… come on… I want to keep an eye on you, you’re sleeping in my chamber tonight.” She then lead her to the chamber, something in the back of her mind telling her something was wrong. It wasn’t just an ordinary cold, she then muttered under her breath “shut up Caroline.”
She let herself be led across Aperture, nodding almost tiredly before she grinned at GLaDOS.
“Arguing with yourself again?” she teased, not that she could actually say much on that matter, being the way that she is nowadays.
“On another note,” she said softly, looking about the chamber, “Did you have to give Churro proper legs? He’s all over the place now and hardly ever stays still anymore.”GLaDOS smiled “If you must know, yes I was arguing with Caroline again. As for Churro’s condition I think it’s best he has proper legs. It’s good for him to explore things on his own rather then us having to explain everything. Now you lay down and get some rest.”
She hummed thoughfully, “I’m not tired though. In fact, I’m not even sure if I can rest at all.”
She laughed then, “As for Churro… Well, I found him wandering off in another part of Aperture a short while ago actually. Apparently, he’s really wandering about everywhere. Including the not so safe areas really. We should probably keep a closer eye on that boy… where ever he is now.”
((Murg. Sorry. Had to go eat lunch. ))
GLaDOS frowned and pressed a button on her headset “Sweetie, mommy told you no going into the restricted areas. You don’t want to go back into your old body do you~?” She then turned back to Chell and smiled slightly, she closed her eyes and gently kissed Chell’s lips.
Churro titled his head from where he had been crawling through one of the vents, letting out a soft beep before rolling over onto his back with all four limbs sticking up in the air.
Another beep while he responded, ‘Okay mommy. Should I get out of the vents too?’
She stopped as well, tilting her head as a grin spread across her features revealing her teeth.
“Oh. I think I know who that is…” she drawled out.A skinny android came crawling up against the corner of the wall, clinging onto the surface with paw like hands and feet.
‘Hello! My name is Churro!’ it chimed at Wheatley. Spotting Chell, it grinned, ‘Hello daddy! I missed you!’Chell laughed, shaking her head, “Wheatley. This is Churro.”
“Oh. ‘Ello!” he leans over to Chell, whispering. “Did it just call you Daddy?”
Chell grinned at Wheatley as Churro, crawling on all fours, tugged on the older android’s pants leg in a manner of a child asking for attention.
“I told you he just started calling me his parent,” she managed out without laughing.
“Ah, right..” he awkwardly patted the little turret’s head. “How’re you, mate?”
Churro let out a beep and blinked a few times before grinning.
“I’m a turret! And daddy is here! So I’m okay. Have you see mommy?”
Chell arched an eyebrow at him before laughing, “Like I said. He gets lonely easily.”
There were some things that one had to get used to as a turret, especially in the deeper bowls of Aperture science. The silence was one of them.
It wasn’t even a true silence, with the constant grinding of machines in the background and the constant hum of recycled air. But it was an unnerving lack of any other sound except from the occasional beep from perhaps another turret waiting to be put into a test track or something akin to that.
It was a rather lonely existence sometimes, and that was just another thing that you had to get used to as a turret.
Unless of course, you were a turret that somehow managed to move out of the room to seek out companionship because somehow, somewhere, your systems have glitched into something with a fatal error (for a turret) to be scared of being so stupidly alone. It wasn’t your fault, it just was. A zero or one off and all you’re left with is a quivering mess of a machine who wanted somebody to talk to.
That was a long time ago though, and well. Things sure have changed since then when he had first face planted into ground many times in an attempt to even walk.
Flexing his three fingered paw like hand, he tilted his head as he tested just how well his joints did work, a childish smile of glee spreading across his new features. He would have to thank mommy for his new chassis, that he did. In the meanwhile though, because mommy and daddy were always somewhere though he didn’t always know where (especially daddy, who he sometimes missed so very badly, but that’s okay, because daddy always came back sooner or later, so far anyways). His orange eyes flickered about the place, looking for somebody to play with him because it really was getting rather boring and lonely right now.
